Flip and Grow Rich Scam?
I have heard a lot of people asking if Armando Montelongo's Flip and Grow Rich program is a scam. I would love if someone who has bought the $997 real estate course could leave some comments so we can really get some solid feedback about the course and if it is worth the money. $997 is a lot to spend on anything let alone some Real Estate course.
So my plea is that someone out there on the wen will read this and give some honest reviews about the Flip and Grow Rich Book along with the Real Estate flipping course that Armando offers to his customers.

I purchased the course as I am always trying to get more real estate knowledge and I thought it was very well done. Very good information from Armando.
My husband and I are flipping our 4th and 5th house and are in the process of purchasing our 6th. I can honestly say that pretty much every time we followed Armando’s book we had success; and every time we didn’t, we struggled. I will say that his suggestions for finding properties have not worked well for us-we have not had the lawyers respond at all and only one bail bondsman. Our success has come from the MLS, which he also suggests. And the rest of his advice is spot on-we just made $28,000 profit off our last deal, when everyone we knew was telling us we would not, could not make $$ in this market.
Amando really inspires me! I bought the package and so far i love it.. very easy to follow and explains everything in great detail.. i think it is all up to the motivated person… will keep you posted.
Very informative, thanks for sharing the post. Anyways, thanks for sharing.
My husband and I both attended the 1st free seminar at the Shilo in Pomona, Ca. I thought Armondo was going to be there, but he was not. We were there for about 3 hours and we signed up for the 2nd seminar that cost us $1,500 to attend for 2 people, so divide that, it was $750.00 each. I really didn’t want to go, because I am a Real Estate Agent and have access to REO’s, but like most people don’t have the money to flip. They had the seminar at the Double Tree, Ontario Ca Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 8 full hours each day. On the first day the speaker asked if there were any Real Estate Agents. There were only about 5 that had attended, and the speaker was quick to disgrace us in front of about 140 people. Although I was upset at his remarks I stayed all day on Friday, but I have to say that the speaker Armando had was very informative, but by the end of the day we were both exhausted from taking notes and sitting for 8 hours. Saturday I didn’t want to go. I told my husband to go, but he insisted I go with him again. So I went again, on the 2nd day the speaker disgraced the 3 Real Estate Agents that had come back in front of everyone again. I was upset but as a professional I quickly brushed it off, people are going to say what they want to say. I was more interested in the speaker, because even though he clearly did not like Real Estate Agents, he was very knowledgeable and gave out some valuable information (Saturday).
After lunch on Saturday – Guess who showed up! Armando, YES he did show up at the seminar he had on a light blue T-shirt and blue jeans. I have to say that when he spoke the whole room was quite. He is a very good inspirational speaker and he does know what he is taking about, I’m just telling you from my experience. Yes, you can make money flipping houses. The only problem is if you don’t have the money up front CASH you can’t buy the home, the secret is YOU HAVE TO HAVE MONEY!!!!, a no it’s not easy to just get a hard money loan. And you have to have some kind of real estate knowledge, like being able to price homes and know what area to buy in. If you’re the kind of person who knows nothing about real estate and has this fathom that you can flip homes with no money, and no real estate knowledge, this isn’t going to work for you, save your money. Armando offers the “Bus Tour” were he personal goes (supposedly) goes and shows you how to flip homes, and make money and it cost $35,000 to get on this tour bus. We didn’t have $35,000 dollars, but there were about 25-35 people maybe who signed up that did have the money. I thought man there is a lot of people who have dreams we all have dreams of becoming rich, driving fancy cars, living in a big homes, having nice toys. I really hope Armando realizes that his words have power, and that people have goals and dreams of becoming millionaires, this is my dream as well. I just hope that Armando follows through and actually does help people achieve there dreams, but you know not everyone is going to be lucky enough it’s just the facts of life.
My husband didn’t go back on Sunday and I wasn’t either, but you know what I wanted to represent my REAL ESTATE PEOPLE, because there are some agents who do actually work and take classes and study, also when I start something I like to finish it TO THE END. Yes, Armando does offer you a money back guarantee, on the $1,500 and the $35,000 but I actually felt like I had gained some valuable information from the seminar for this reason the seminar was worth the $1,500 to me and I can use it as a tax write off. My only disappointment was that I didn’t have the money for the bus tour. It soared of left me wondering if I would have gotten on the bus would it have changed my life. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “It’s not what you know it’s who you know.”
First of all I would like to credit the blogger for creating such a well thoughout blogsite. 2) I would like to address the average mindset which tends to poverty thinking. Wisdom and valuable information is worth whatever price. Colleges and universities charge in excess of $25K per year and don’t teach anyone how to generate wealth rather you learn to conform to rules. It is not unusual to spend $500 on books per semester either on information that is more theorhetical in nature that may have no direct proportion on creative a mindset or method to build wealth. 3) I personally recommend Rich Dad Education. I find Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad Education) not only credible but he is committed to increasing the financial literacy of everyone. The 3 day seminars are $495 for you and your partner. 4) Never say that you can’t afford anything because you cut yourself off from receiving and becoming greater. When you open yourself up to the possibilities of making something happen (write down you vision or plan of action) providence appears in amazing ways. 5) The is no obstacle too great to overcome you. 6) Increase you repetoire of books whether from the library or Amazon.com to gain more information on the subject. 7) Leverage: There is so much that you can do for free and low cost to position you to afford a course at $1500, $35,000 or any amount. Direct your focus of increasing in knowledge, save towards the goal, increase your income through (online marketing, network marketing, a garage sale, ebay, a second job, combining your resources with friends/family members.
Use credit cards or take out a loan if you must. 9) Never give up and be positive. Attract the opportunities that you desire.
Went to the Walnut Creek ,Ca. Seminar and got all pumped up!! Has anybody done the three day seminar and had any thing good come from it? Thanks Armando Montelongo
I went to the three day $1500 seminar and I loved it and hated it at the same time. If you don’t know anything about real estate- do not go unless you do some research or you will be lost. You don’t have to know everything but at least familiarize yourself with real estate terms and procedures. The reason I liked it was because I did learn a lot of “tips” and ways to make money I would have never thought of (or learned anywhere else) some things were very shady so beware. Some people may have a problem with some of the techniques they teach. The tips and hidden money strategies make it well worth it. If I put everything I learned into practice I do believe I will be a millionaire-
With that said, UNLESS you have a “millionaire mindset” you may leave there feeling down and out. By the end of the second long day you will realize they are selling you a very expensive trip. What upset me was not the $30,000 price tag, but how you have to join that day and pay for it in full. It ruined the whole experience because I really thought I was going there to learn a shitload of info-after all we are there for 24 hours (3days @8hrs) and I wanted 24 hours of “how to make the money” instead of hearing about 15-20 hours of how amazing Armando is and how much money “they” all make- It was borderline pathetic even to a girl who believes in building a “Millionaire Mind”. They just go way to far trying to sell the company and for $1500 all you are really getting is “tips”
SO if you are someone that has extra money, even enough for the trip, and you have an interest in flipping and being creative with real estate – Go for it. But if you want to meet Armando and you are broke- don’t expect too much. If you’re gonna do it, go in there for the tips and hidden money markets. Bring a friend or partner who can stay awake and keep you pumped. But just remember you are not getting what they promise at the initial seminar AND you need to be a RISK TAKER, SMART AND CREATIVE and an OUT OF THE BOX THINKER- to really benefit from this program- I hope this helped. Good Luck to all- Real Estate flipping is worth learning about and there is a LOT of money to make just by being open to the opportunities and LISTEN TO YOUR GUT!
WOW!
You guys I must say the best education before I started my business is free education. All of complaining about the price of the information he is providing to you is a lame of excuse or finding an obstacle.
If you place your mind into not doing something then your not going to do it. Also, the same if you listen to what everyone else is saying and not taking action now.
Instead, think like this. Imagine you are opening a Real Estate Flipping business and you are trying to find out how you can buy your first house and flip it. Mainly, Armando is giving you a system to follow that takes years of education and experience into a 3 day Workshop. The REST is up to YOU to put it into action.
Armando’s Seminar really put the fire in my rear to get things start and I hope to have my first property in the next week or two.
Those who find obstacles find themselves in the same position. Have you ever not wanted to do something? You would do everything in your power to not do it…
Imagine if I were to hold up a million dollar blank check and the first one that runs up to me can sign there name to it. Wouldn’t you do everything you could to get it? What if I were to tell you in order to get that check you have to buy and flip one house….what would you do? Do you see which one is easier? It’s easier for the blank check. The point being everyone can get there, but nobody wants to do the homework or due diligence. It’s called an obstacle…Whether you can you can, you can’t you can’t, either way your right. “Henry Ford”
Good Luck Everyone!
I know the seminar is in the New Jersey area this week….Can anyone tell me how it went?
Its not a seminar. Its a workshop and if you see that as too much its no wonder your not getting anywhere. Its an obstacle. Scam are for those who have fear or are scared of what is not the normal. J.O.B. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I’m working one now.
I understand why Armando has the course at that price. You could do one of two things to make more money. hmmmm lets see go back to school spend thousands of dollars and not be promised a job or go to Armandos workshop (whom just spoke with the Wall Street Journal I believe) and pay $2000.00 for the first workshop. Not only is he placing his name on the line, but he is guaranteeing you will make your first flip within 90 days using his system or your money back.
Does college offer you or me money back in the event we don’t find a job in the field we are getting a degree in? Armando is offering your the opportunity and insight of going out and closing deals which can lead you to financial freedom, the question now is what are YOU going to do about it!
Did anyone purchase the Tax Lien Certificate program? I want to know if that is a scam. Does there website actually provide the listing as they promise? Are the lower priced Tax Liens available to purchase? or just the expensive ones?
Yes I just went to a seminar In Des Moines and I have already started to put his plan into action. If you don’t want to be left behind do it do it now. Cause in five years you will sitting wishing you could have rode the real estate wave and make a couple hundred thousand before it to late…. Do it..
I went to the workshop today in Jersey and wondering if I should do the 3 day event. They are asking for $ 1500.00 which is alot of money for when you do not have it. Anyone have any advice to go or not?
It’s funny, all the negative comments here. “If it’s too good to be true” and all that non-sense. If he is such a scam artist, then why are there so many successful people? http://armandobustour.com
Just sayin.
Maybe YOU need to get out of your negative, poverty mindset.
Wow, I can’t believe how many people are so quick to post negativity. Nonetheless, we have taken the free seminar, it was worth the money! Then we took the three day! I would have paid that money for any one of those days, and to get all three! It was so amazing! Concrete, real life information. When our active properties flip, we will have almost doubled our income so far just this year and it is only May. We had three houses to flip using his system in just six months after the free event. It really does work, and not just because he gives you techniques and real life tools and not just because he is so inspirational, but because he is both and so much more! I would recommend it to anyone. As to why the leaders of the seminars would teach rather than be out buying more houses- from what I saw, it is because they want to give back. They have been successful, someone taught them and there is a lot of personal gain from teaching.
This is an interesting thread guys. I don’t know Armando’s product, but you must take into consideration that these gurus are compressing their knowledge into a few weeks worth of content. It can take some time to digest, and then to implement. You can make out well in real estate – however, you must be smart about it and do your homework. Don’t jump and try to finance anything you think looks good. Always underestimate the ARV and overestimate your costs/fees. If you can make money in that scenario, then it’s a safe bet to move forward. Coming from the lending side of things, it’s best to know what it is you’re doing so that you can present yourself and your deal in strong position to the lender. We lend rehab and hard money in PA, NY, DE, CT, & VA.
Thanks,
Matt
I just paid $1,500 and attended a weekend seminar with his group and just from the corporate structure I learned to set up I would have saved my LLC company $12,000 that I lost in a lawsuit two years ago had I gone to this course rather than my attorney’s office. I have not flipped a house yet with this system however I have began searching properties as of today since I’ve completed the class and I WILL be attending his Bus Tour later this year in California and look forward to learning more. You guys that say this is a scam are the same guys who knock Amway, Kirby Vaccums, Cutco knives, and other legitimate opportunities which I’m not a part of but do have enough sense to do the RIGHT research prior to knocking them.
What I want to know is where does Armando say to get the money to buy the house initially? How creative or “out-of-the-box” does he get? Is ther a legitimate way of finding the financing or is he telling you to just “find a hard money lender” to become your partner?
What I want to know is the same as Ant. I want to know if its even possible to buy property without using your own money and where does the money come from.
